It Was Me, Jesse Lenz

In a world were hypocrites and liars decide the law, where crooks and criminals sentence the guilty, and where politicians are better aquatinted with prostitutes than those they represent...Where do ‘We the People’ fit in? We feel like a statistic, a number to someone who wants our vote and our hard earned money. Someone who has been born into royalty and doesn’t know the first thing about real life. Someone that knows nothing about doing a good deed without a photo opportunity, working hard to provide for those they love, and living everyday knowing that when we die we will only leave behind a memory to those we love. No historic coins, no streets signs with our names on them, just our memory. We live our lives so we can to look the man in the mirror in the eye.

Some laugh, some mock when we try to warn the masses. They say we are ‘Over reacting’ and that ‘We are the problem with their perfect society’. Ha, Hitler said that about the Jews, see a pattern? Political correctness, fairness doctrines, amendments to our constitution, bail outs, world healthcare, what is going on?! Have we lost our will to think for ourselves? Have we become so engrained in our everyday lives that we actually think that the government wants to help us? Our constitution was made to protect us from big and oppressive governments, yet we applaud those who try to take away our rights. ‘Take away our guns, take away our freedom’ we say, ‘we want to feel safe.’ Yet by doing so, we take speech away from those who need to be heard and guns from those who would protect us. The only two things a totalitarian government must do to eliminate opposition is to take away our God given right to speak what is in our hearts and protect those we love. If those two things are taken, everything else collapses.

This is my Molotov cocktail, my Tiananmen Square. When the dust settles what will be bleeding, your face or your knuckles? I refuse to be a silent observer while this country is raped by special interest groups, power hungry politicians, and a 1984 News Media. I have seen first hand the destruction of big government and refuse to not speak out against those who pervert the truth in order to gain power for themselves. You may not agree with my opinions, but thats the great thing about this country...you don’t have to. I am an everyday citizen like you. I am younger than some, and older than others, but what is going on right now will affect generations. Our generations! Wake up and realize that actions have consequences. We will all be held accountable for how this world turns out, even if you don’t want to get involved. Don’t be silent! Speak out and defend your beliefs. Block out the voices of politicians and smooth-talkers and think for yourselves. Don’t be a cow led to the slaughter. I will leave you with this quote from one of the most wicked men to ever walk this earth.
